Default DS Lite - Charging aboard ?

    Hello Gents,

I am off travelling for 12 months at the start of next year and I have got a DS lite to take with me to help my gaming addiction while away. I was wondering what the best thing to do about charging - I'm going to be in mulitple countrys so its not as simple as it could be.

I was thinking of maybe getting a universal USB plug charger as you can one that has mulitpe pins for different countries - they have a standard USB socket on them which you then can connect to anything that can be charged by USB. (assuming you have the correct USB cable)

This would be my favorite option as it will then also charge the MP3 player and the camera all off on plug.

Has anyone any advise or suggestions on if this sound like a good idea or if its bollox etc

    cheers
    Ironman

if u got a 110 psu too, along with a few plug adapters u should be set for most places, USB is a good thing to add but ive found charging via USB to be much slower than from the psu.

You could get a few spare batteries too.

yeah USB is much slower but as I am backpacking the size / wieght of the chargers is a factor. So one USB "does all" type of thing would be best.

I thought the DS had a mini usb socket on it but just found out it doesnt - I will need to get a new cable for it - any suggestions on were I can get a cheap one ?

    Cheers

Thanks I'll check out cheapmod - turns out that Fiji, Australia and New zeland are all on the same voltage as us so I should be ok without neededing anything too clever - looking at this at the moment (bit pricey but appears to do it all)
