Any Ideas for a First Tattoo

I would suggest taking into account your skin tone, as it will have a deciding factor on the colours you choose and the end result. Also the design should be a suitable shape for a suitable part of the body. This and careful thought should help you choose.

Its impossible to recommend a tattoo IMO, it has to be something very personal and special to you, so whatever you do don't rush the decision and get a tattoo for the sake of having one. Go down to your local tattooist (make sure you get recommendations first!) and have a flick through the books there, they should have thousands of designs available. Flick through, find something you like, and then have a chat about it with the tattooist.

Id recomend thinking about it long and hard, dont forget you'll have it for life so make it something thats looks great and has some meaning to you, dont skimp on the cost, im still pondering what to get to cover up this stupid flippping tiger i got on my lower arm 6 years later.

show us the tiger!! I am thinking on getting two of my tattoos covered at the moment, so am interested in what you have, to see how hard it would be to cover

think about if you really want one first and not a passing phase. I wanted one for years before i got the first one..... but one of mine i just walked into the shop looked at a couple and knew "i want that one" try and pick something you like or are interested in expanding eg dragon, vamps cats etc
