Alcohol, or more accurately "Alcohol"

I fooking hate people calling booze "alcohol" like it's a product not an ingredient.

I go out to booze, and I don't order "alcohol, please" at the bar so why do people refer to it this way.

You don't go to a restaurant & order a steak in this manner: "16oz of protein please, medium rare; and some carbohydrate sticks with a side order of roughage".

not really sure where you're coming from on this. Alcohol is a popular generic term, not the chemical or product. Take for example a teenager saying 'are you buying alcohol for the party ?' that means anything 'booze' based

I dislike the term 'booze' more than the term 'alcohol' in this respect
