Replacement Handsets

Had to send off my xda mini yesterday cos it won't synch with me computer, so can't install any software or update contacts etc etc

O2 didnt have any replacements within the locality so I popped into carphone warehouse and they did the business.

Had to pay a £50 returnable deposit for it - a Motorola C139 (more than the value of the phone I think), but at least I can phone and text.

But fuk me this phone has got to be the shittest phone EVER!!!!

The menu system is virtually impossible to navigate. I cannot find anything!!! It took me nearly three hours to find how to turn off the annoying key tones, and yes I had a manual (for another phone - thanks carphone whorehouse)

So onto the internet when I got home, that reliable repository of useful info - even the right manual gave me nothing more.

I cannot work out how to set an alarm for work tomorrow morning, which isnt too bad cos the radio comes on anyway as does my watch, but when you get used to needing 3 alarms to get up.......

Fortunately a friend of mine says he has a couple or ranom handsets lying around his gaff that I could borrow, but I am so tempted to just go out and buy a decent handset for £30.

These motorola's are marketed towards the budget market or people who just want a phone that rings with no bells or whistles, but I can't get even the most basic of functions to work. I'm no expert but I'm not a phone newbie either.

If you ever need to rely on a replacement handset when your handet is sent off, think about buying a cheapo replacement or find a mate with a spare cos the ones they expect you to use are total wank!!

If you kick up a big enough fuss in the shop, they'll give you a half decent handset just to get rid of you. They have plenty of phones around that they can give you but they prefer use the shitty handsets that they cant sell.

All due to the cnuts that take the replacement handsets and pretend to have them stolen.
