Best 1980's Action TV Programme

I know there'll be some fond memories for most of them (if you're old enough) but which one do you rate as your favourite 1980's American action TV show?

Great poll.

Hands down it's Miami Vice. It varied in quality but it was created by Michael Mann and it was often very very good. The rest? With all due respect were really quite rubbish in comparison. The A-Team was kitsch and funny in a way but for what it actually was it was basically rubbish.

It's frightening really how far US television drama has come since then. I'd struggle to think of one show that could compete on a critical or entertainment level with the best on offer today.

i remember hunter, a cop show. some bloke called fred dryer and the fat bloke from fx2, brian dennehy or however you spell it. It was good. but it weren't no fall guy!

Got to agree with WalterPill here. Miami Vice was easily the best of that sad bunch. A-Team = shit and too reliant on one liners that were poorly delivered by a less than inventive cast. The fact tht the fall Guy theme was sung by Lee Majors fucked it up from the start. Chips was fucking terrible and in fact they were all terrible. Give me stylised drama with espadrilles anyday. )

Dukes of Hazzard was a classic too... and Magmun P.I. .... I remember Manimal and Automan as well. Automan was on Bravo not so long ago, omg is it SHIT... funny how things you loved when you were a kid look absolutely crap now.

I think the A-Team has done remarkably well, it's bad acting, deaths with no blood, and most predictable story lines have made it what it is today, same thing with Knight Rider.... I'll never get tired of watching the repeats, each to thier own ...lol...

lol, I was watching an episode the other day where 2 guys rolled in one of those open top jeeps. It looked like a stunt gone wrong with no movement from either, but edited over the top of the soundtrack was someone saying "you okay george" and the other guy replying "yeah, I'm okay". Just to make sure you knew noone died.

Depends on your age I think, for me it was miami vice but I suppose there are many more peeps in the forum who were in the age range for the A Team, hence its massive vote.
