Running Xtreme firmware 4.1B and 1 original won't play??

Hi there

Recently flashed my sammy, and had no problems with either dl dvd+r or my original games until I tried my original Quake 4. All I get is a screen saying I must use this disc in an Xbox 360?? No problems on any of my other discs.

Is this just a firmware issue? Any one else had any trouble with originals?

I updated a Samsungs firmware to 4.1b. (slow speed) and now it is not running all originals. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I try 4.1a?

hmmm I'm startin to hear about a few probs with 4.1,4.2, just general like this and obviously nothing confirmed properly. I myself had a backup of lego which worked flawlessly on 3.0 but I get the please insert in a 360 error with it on 4.1. but still works perfectly in my other 360 which has a hitachi

Which originals aren't working for you?

I will have a read up on xbox-scene later and see if I can get any info.

I will also try some earlier firmware and see if that helps.

Original that doesnt work= Dead or Alive.

It is my friends 360 and so he is going to try the other originals he has and get back to me. His backup of Splinter Cell works and his original GRAW works.

Found a guy on xbox-scene that has the same problem with Dead or Alive. Wont go past intro screen-start button wont work.

He changed his console to 60Hz and it resolved it.

I will try it...

Quake 4 works fine on component, but not on VGA lead. Sounds like it's display issues then. Still to do with the firmware?

He changed the Hz and now the Dead or Alive problem has gone.
