DS has more games that appeal to women
DS has better games that are designed for it rather than dumbed down psp ports
DS can play all the GBA stuff as well

its a proper handheld rather than a small ps2

We have had a PSP in the house since xmas and a DS lite in the house for about 2 months.

PSP... Its a good machine but the games just fall flat. I have now tried loads and loads of games. I can't find one that interests me longer than 5 mins. Its not just me either... everybody I know doesn't seem to find any game on the PSP that holds any interest.

DS lite... Only had it 2 months (and just 5 games). however, I just keep picking it up. The touch screen is brilliant. Puzzle bobble works so well using the touch screen. I also love the way a lot of games use the mic in games (having to actually blow up balloons by physically blowing into the mic is brilliant!)

I think the PSP is a fantastic piece of kit, apart from all the great games available. I can watch all my favorite films or tv episodes on it when I’m out and about.

Also I can play all my old Snes favorites on it

I haven’t actually played the DS but imo it seems to be catered more for children.
What’s up with that game where you have to train a dog or something? WTF

Oh by the way there’s also a special edition pink PSP out at the moment for the lady’s and gays.

    just incase anyone’s interested

theres virtually nothing on the PSP to interest a casual female gamer, but theres plenty on the DS, its cheaper too
My mates mother has asked for one for xmas and shes 40+, you cant get her off warioware.

I have both, the DS is brilliant and I currently cant get to play on it as my sister has borrowed it, the touch screen is a great new way of doing things simple to use ect I like it. The speakers are really good which the psp seems to lack

The PSP is awesome the graphics are good miles better than the DS but playing games can be dificult for some with all the buttons, anologue stick ect I got one for my sister a few months ago and bought her the sims and she is happy to play that. Im playing medal of honour at the moment is looks great but controls with som many options can be hard miles easier with a mouse.

which to go for for a lady DS all the way, I love mario bros on it and am searching for a good price on mario kart retro snes games on a handheld its brilliant. The PSP is a great all rounder games, music and video but playability needs to be simple I think for ladies. LOL

    I have both.

The only time my Missus touched my PSP was when she wanted to watch a movie for a long coach journey and even then she complained it was too quiet.

I can't get her off the DS however! Whether it be stoking her German Shepherd - Benji on Nintendogs, shouting out Yellow Black Red Blue on Brain Training or throwing shapes on Tetris!

Girls can't get enough of the DS matey. Get her one of them.

Got both 2 and for me it has to the DS. My sister had a PSP but sold it to buy a DS and my girlfriend bought a DS as well.

In terms of games I think the DS has a much better pick up and play appeal as well. I personally prefer the DS to my PSP, in fact came very close to selling my PSP until Devhook 0.46 came out

Cheers I traded in my PsP for a DS... All my PsP was to me was a disguised portable porno. DS is much more fun and interactive Bring on Pokemon.

I have both and found the PSP to get boring very quickly.

    Go with the DS Lite.
