COD 3 problem

Well popped this is the drive yesterday, main screen booted and told me i needed to upgrade, i did. Then a very quick error message flashes on the screen on the right hand side and now it wont boot??

Should we be updating the games we own or not?

Its the game m8, funny coz i tried my brothers and that one boots fine ??

Strange that only after the update it stopped working?

I'll re-burn it and try it again.

I`ve just had my first problem with my 360 (Hitachi) and CoD3.

I`m on the 2nd level, crouching behind cover and shooting away, and try to move but can`t - I look at my other soldiers lay down etc and presumed it was part of the game, anyway, 2-3 mins later and I find I still cannot move, so go back to the Dash and launch the game again.

This time before I even get to cover, my monitor goes off for 1 second, completely black like it does when you change res on a PC.
When it comes back, the colours were fooked and there were pinks all over the place, the clouds, the models and then the screen went black again for 1 second 2-3 times before I hit the power off on the 360.

Just reloaded a 3rd time and so far so good and I`m past the bit where it happened previously. Hope it`s not my 360 on the way out.

Yep both same brand of disks, and the error ive just made out says, disk unrecognisable??

I have Hitachi 8in1 firmware and applied the patch. Works fine.

Well I bought the original cos im not modded and this game keeps crashing all the time needs a reboot. Its a very buggy game!

I have had it where i am stuck. i.e. cant move, its just your positioning, try crouching and moving, standing up and moving. I dont think its your xbox. The other problems with the screen sound like a connection or your tv??

i got stuck in the floor on the second floor of a house. it was a flippin bit of destructable scenery that hadnt broken properly made me sit there for a couple of minutes. in the end i shot the floor one after all my amo was finished it decided to break and the german soldier underneath shot the shit out of me.

This happned to me too. I just held a grenade and then on the next go the side of the wall blew up correctly. This game is the same as COD 2 but still cool.

I find my original copy crashing when you get the load message after a mission and sometimes during play. The sound is continuous but the machine doesn't reply. I have to turn the machine off and start again.
Not good!

I tried everythin mate. I could still look round and shoot and lob grenades, but just couldn`t move. I think it was down to one of my squaddies getting in my way and wedging me against some scenery or something.

As for the connection to the TV - it`s perfect, I have never had an issue with any other game and once I rebooted CoD3 it was back to normal again.
I am using a VGA lead to a 21" Flatscreen 4:3 CRT.

Glad to hear it not just me finding bugs...well not glad there are bugs, but you know what I mean..

I hae the original and have decided to stick it on ebay, COD 3 really sucks when compared to COD 2.

Gutted as i was so looking forward to it.

Started to play this after finishing FEAR and GOW. Man is it buggy.. had it crash 4 times on me last night.. really spoils immersion in the game. Ended up just switching the fecker off and got drunk instead.
Have they released any patches for it yet over live?
