    Default Advice needed

You folks seem to be well into the specs. of phones and stuff.
My old 7610 is due for upgrade so I went to look at some in CPW......Too Many! Didn't know where to start.
Can anyone give me a comparison/ rating in English for the following Nokia phones

N70 (been advised to avoid as they break for fun?)
    N73
    N91
    N80
Any other Nokias (I can kinda use Nokias)

I need it to do what my old 7610 does i.e. e-mail, web and Tom Tom mobile.
I would like an FM radio in there too (be handy for work) and I reckon I should be looking for 3G (speeds up the web don't it?)

Advice on any of this would be great folks. Also do you get all the necessary gubbins with it/ them....don't want to have to spend too much on mem cards (7610 uses RS MMC single voltage cards of which I have 2 512MB ones) and headphones for the radio bit etc.

As you can see, the more I have looked at the brochures and on the web the more I have become confused.

Any real-world, practical advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards
    Steve

don't know about the others, but I have the N73 and like it.

It has a good camera & video, FM radio, mp3 player, it works well with TomTom 6. I got a 2gb mini sd card with sd adaptor for £17.99 (7 dayshop).

It is also not too big & heavy and has a great screen.

I reckon the N73 as well, a perfect replacement for you're 7610, similar in size and with some extra goodies. Don't think many of the newer Nokia's use RS-MMC cards anymore, either Mini-SD or Micro-SD.

I have the N80 mainly because it has wifi built-in but if you're not going to use it or have a need for it then the N73 is ideal. I also like the look of the Nokia E50 although sadly this doesn't have a radio.

    have a look here m8:

    http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3...&idPhone1=1347

but it all depends on what you're looking for. The N73 has a better camera than the N80 and it also has a very nice auto focus too it's also lighter, better battery life and has a classic mobile phone design.

Some people hate the N80 be it design, short battery life and/or buggy firmware. I've had my black N80 since September and I love it to bits. It's got the latest firmware on it so the phone runs pretty good and the battery life is decent enough for me. I have it in GSM mode with the bluetooth and wifi turned off when they are not needed. The screen resolution on the N80 is very nice though, real sharp and crisp. Should be a matter of time before all mobile phones have wifi built in as standard.

Both phones run the latest version of TomTom and both have a radio so you're sorted there like I said if you're not arsed about wifi then go for the N73 if you are then go for the N80 ! Good luck mate !

What do you use the Wi Fi for then, getting faster net speeds or file transfer?

where I am there are a fair few wifi hotspots so it's handy for surfing the net, checking email and even having the odd conversation on MSN messenger as well - especially when I'm waiting for people to show up. Some nice apps including an internet radio so you can stream radio stations direct to you're mobile using wifi.

Sometimes use it with my wifi connection at home if I have switched off my PC or laptop and can't be arsed to switch it on to check something quick.
