Urgent Help needed to find an mp3.

Hi everyone,

My Girlfriends Grandma, just passed away and I've been asked by her Grandad to find a song on the internet for the funeral, she used to sing it to him apparently.

All he knew was that the words in it are "Can I forget you? or will my heart remind me."

After some digging around I have located the details of the song.

It's sung by someone called Irene Dunne, the song is called "Can I forget you?"

It's from a film called High, Wide and Handsome. and was made in 1937.

I spent 2 hours on the net last night using all my old p2p stuff, and newsgroups to no avail. I even looked on ebay, and managed to find someone selling a dvd of the film. I was going to buy it then extract the song, but they are in USA and will not be here for next monday.

Any Internet gurus or someone out there that can help me get this?

sorry, just wanted to also point out that I'm not just looking for a freebie, I am happy to pay for it if anyone knows if its available to buy on an album or something. Just struggled to find it anywhere.

fraid I can only find it in the states. Maybe if you contact some big radio stations ie bbc they may be able to help you.

How about buy it from the usa, paypal them the money and just ask them to copy the track and email it? i'm sure they would do it if you explain the circumstances, or offer them a little extra on top?

Hi Elwood, I've already tried that, before I bought it, but the guy on ebay said he is technophobic, and wouldn't have a clue. The others I have seen are E-shops on amazon.

I will wait for the reply back from blacksheeps find.

I'm sure you'll be able to get the DVD over here in time if you look for the mail services (fedex, DHL etc.). Business is 24hours 7 days a week nowadays so I'm sure a company will be able to get it here for Sunday (for a price obviously). Have a look, I'm sure it can be done.

Hello Nick, Yes the song is certainly on this soundtrack collection. I can run you one off and send it Special (next day) Delivery if still required. Total cost would be £14.50 ( £10 for disc + £4.50 SD) It is of course a very old recording and not exactly Hi Fi but is of acceptable quality.
