toshiba laptop dvd burning help needed
i have a toshiba laptop with a matshita uj-840s dvd-rw. when i go to "my computer" it's only showing as a dvd-ram drive. when i try to insert blank dvd-r media it won't let me burn anything. for some reason it won't recognize the media. can someone please explain why this is the case? thanks peeps

I think it's meant to show up as a RAM drive? Have you tried other media?
Try updating the firmware on it

It is a DVD ram drive according to a google search and these links-Try a +r instead of - r

It supports both +r and -r, either its fooked or it dont like the brand of media u using m8
