Some soldiers from the National Guard are given digital cameras to record their year in Iraq. It follows a group of soldiers from training to their actual time in Iraq and then their return home. And includes interviews with family. Most of the time out there involved the soldiers protecting convoys.
I found this a really interesting documentary and it is incredibly gripping as you know what you are watching actually happened. It shows how at risk the soldiers are when mortars land near to them or shots are fired and they have no idea of where the shots came from.
A fair bit of the footage is shakey cam but then it is expected when the camera is mounted on a machine gun on the top of a Humvee
Well worth a watch
