Are you using a wirless router? If you login to the admin page you can turn it on and off, setup WEP etc, I just keep mine turned off!

    Sorry mate, not very clear....

I ment turn the wirless feature on or off completely, or you can set a WEP key to put a password on. Can you access the router setup page ok?

er.....it's a risk you take I guess mate, means people can connect up with a wirless device, nick you bandwidth, browse your network etc....

It depends on what make of router you have but try something like:

    (Type into web browser)

    192.168.1.1
    192.168.0.1
    192.168.2.1

    etc etc....

You should hit gold and see a lovely setup page with all the settings

A great site for more info HERE

It'll usually say the IP of your router either in the manual or on a sticker on the back/bottom of your router...
I leave WEP off but use MAC filtering.
