LG U880 unlocking

Hi, can anyone tell me if the LG U880 can be unlocked yet off the 3 network??

These can be partially unlocked via flashing the handset. You need to enter the code everytime the handset is turned off though.

You can use the USB cable that came with the handset to flash them.

When flashing make sure you use the UK media file too.

It does work, I did it to my mums one a few weeks ago. Takes a little time as you have to flash over the whole s/w for the phone, but works.

I know it does m8, I have done many of them.

Occasiounally the handsets may have signal failures, but just find the correct NV file and it will repair all signal faults.

I was told that www.mobilefun.com have the codes and the usb cable for a cost of about £15 .. havent tried it but maybe worth a look.

Any chance you kept those files as rapidshare don't hold them this long
