    Default Gran Turismo HD cancelled

Sony today updated the game's Japanese Web site with some good news and some bad news for eager fans of the game. The good news is that a free demo version of Gran Turismo HD with 10 cars and two layouts of a single track will be available for download in Japan from the PlayStation store on December 24, 2006. The bad news is that the full version of the game has been canceled, as the Polyphony Digital team is switching its focus to the next PS3 installment of the series, Gran Turismo 5.

So your gonna get a demo of a game that is not coming out, WTF

Its gonna be a long long time before we see gran turismo 5

This is surely a bad piece of news for perspective ps3 owners.

from what I heard, GT:HD was a prolog of GT5, and GT4 Prolog was pretty pish IMHO, but GT4 was BRILLIANT!

So as long as GT5 is just as good, or better than GT4, I'll be more than happy, not too disappointed by the news, but I dont expect to see GT5 till xmas 2008!

There isnt much else i fancy. MGS4 if the rumours are true is possibly going to be a multiplatform game to improve sales. If that happens I can see a lot of people not bothering with the machine until some decent exclusive games arrive.

So Sony only have GT5 to keep folk interested in the PS3 (if MGS4 is multi-platform), TBH GT5 will DEF get them a few million sales, but I dont think its enough to win the title for the next gen of consoles!

I doubt MGS4 will be multi-platform on release. It will be a ps3 exclusive for sometime before it comes out on anything else.

there was never a MGS4 rumour, its just chinese whispers from an artical when kojima said that technically a version of MGS4 could be made for the 360. I very much doubt they would bother unless M$ offered Konami some crazy money.

Im glad to see the back of GTHD, it was a waste of time, id rather the dev team put 100% of their resourses into the proper GT game for the PS3 and not mess about updating some old one with a bit of extra eyecandy.
It takes em long enough to make 1 game, let alone 2. Itll be worth the wait.
