Action Replay on the Wii...

I've seen videos of the Wii running the Gamecube action replay to boot import Gamecube games but my Wii just says 'cannot read disc'.
It's not the disc as it works fine on my Gamecube.
Does anyone know why this might be happening ?

Action replay has a built in Freeloader but I can't seem to get it to work.
I have a PAL Wii.
Any suggestion on what to do will be gratefully received.

Has to be a certain version but not sure which one
