Spyware/ Malware

What do you folks recommend as the best defence against spy/ malware /Virus and general nasties ?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Budget is tight so I would prefer cheap or free stuff here.
I must add I am using the Zone Alarm free firewall up to now but nothing else.Thanks.

Have a look at Comodo they do a Firewall, Anti Virus & a few other products. Their Firewall is meant to be very good, but Zonealarm is ok. http://www.comodogroup.com/products/free_products.html

Anti spyware look at spybot search & destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

Adaware http://www.lavasoft.de/products/ad-a...e_personal.php

Theres a few others but these should work ok for & they are free.
