    Default Stream HD movies?

Is it possible to stream HD movies/video to the 360 with Windows XP?
If so are there any decent tutorials around?
    Thanks

Anyone ever had probs installing the OS?
Got VMware running but wont boot from the cd (i can see it trying) so cant install mediacentre.
The disc is fine, tried this under normal XP also tried using different drives etc.

    What's that then?
I'm gonna move my front room around after Christmas so my 360 and PC nearer together (not gonna use wireless) and am hoping to be able to stream videos to it with XP Home SP2, is this possible?

Also, can HD .ts files be streamed?

basically converts a standard Windows XP installation into a mediacenter OS.
Only takes 10 minutes or so.
Only trouble i'm having is the wireless network.
Playback is stop/start all the time now.

M8 you have not got a hope in hell of wirelessly streaming HD content the average bitrate on even a small .TS stream is roughly 11mbps rising upwards of 28mbps.

Hardwired is the only way for HD .TS files

Netgear WGT624 downstairs, 360 upstairs, and anything but a clear line of sight. When I first got the wireless adapter, I tested the connection using a dlink and belkin wireless router and they both didn't come close to the performance of the netgear one. Perfect performace in HD films I'v tried. I'm curious though, how much better (if at all noticeable) a 802.11a wireless router will perform, as recommended for the wireless 360 adapter.

To be honest M8 i have the DSL-G604T Netgear router and to be honest have never tried the wireless adapter for the 360 so maybe it performs better thana standard wireless adapter who knows or it could be my netgear router.

I have mine wired basically because it is also handy for updating my Dbox2 as well, Maybe i should upgrade the router.

Previous experience with the wireless was with the Snazzio Media center box which got me into Hi-Def in the first place but unfortunately the wireless card and connection was only good for DVD streaming at a push and 720p HD was a just stop start watchable and 1080i was a NONO LOL

I've given up with this streaming lark. I can't even stream an mp3 with Zune or WMP11 let alone even think about HD content.
My PC see's my 360 in Zune and WMP11 but my 360 doesn't see my PC, I turned all security off on my pc and router......nothing. Microsoft needs to sort this bollox out, there's so many people on the net with the same problem I have but nobody has any answers as such.

I can't use MCE with VM Ware cos the piece of crap doesn't see the cd to install it from, the XP to media center converter doesn't work with XP Home, jeez I'm pissed off!

    EDIT: Sorted.
