How can I make a back-up of my sons games

Hi, is it possible to make a back-up of my sons 360 games the only reason I want to do this is because they are already getting scratched and its a dear do to keep buying new ones from the shop, obviously I have the originals so am I right by saying I am allowed to do this. What program would I use......

DVD decrypter would rip them onto your pc you can then burn onto DVD (still using DVD decrypter) or just store on your pc until one of the games is damaged. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/

u cannot just rip a original without the right software/hardware
i use a samsung sh-d162c (dvd rom) with kreon firmware
and Schtrom360XtractV3.1 (software)

Im not being funny but would it not be cheeper and a better option, to teach your son to look after things, and explane the cost of the games? Or, if he is really young, make sure he is supervised when playing them?

Hi Matt, my son is 8 and is very responsible he looks after all his things psp etc but my daughter has just turned 3 and is a little bugger, its her that grabbs them out of the cases when we arent looking.......

I suggest your read the tutorials over at www.xbox-scene.com. You have a lot to learn before you can start burning and playing backups.

It wasn't sarcasm. I didn't know you already have a flashed Xbox 360. I didn't think you had because nearly all the tutorials on how to do it also include a tutorial on how to copy games. Try this one for example.

That probably has nothing to do with it. A mate of mine is in his 40s, always puts the games back into the case after use and all his DVDs are scratched to hell.

I know this might be very obvious but you do realise Morphias that backups of the original game will be useless to you unless your 360 is hacked?

FYI: making a single backup of a game/movie etc that you own is legal in America, unfortunately that is not the case in the UK. Although LE is the one to ask for a definitive answer.
