eurovox maxx help

hi, can anyone tell me how to get rid of 'talkover' on some channels..?

like tonight on channel 5 a film was on, but had a womans voice talking over the quiet bits....for the blind i asume..
can i turn this feature off?

i checked channel 5 on the upstairs telly which is just going through a normal ariel..no talkover, so it must be summit to do with going through the eurovox maxx..
