Get a host that does php and mysql then get joomla or something installed much easier than actually trying to design something from scratch

When you registered your domain name you should have been given a DNS and secondary DNS. These need to be provided to your webhost. You *should* be able to do this in the control panel of your webhost - simply just type in the numbers and wait 48 hours for it to transfer across the network. If you dont have your DNS entries (domain name system?) then speak to your registrar, but they should be visible in your account.

As for uploading - your host should have provided you with FTP details for uploading, but again, if not, all the information should be in your hosts control panel. If you don't have a CP then bugger , get in touch with them asap!

you don't provide your webhost with the name servers of the domain, that's the wrong way round! You must set the name servers on the domain to those supplied by your webhost. This is should not be necessary if you've purchased the domain and hosting from the same company.

If you can give us some more info about the name and the companies you've purchased different aspects from we'll be able to help further
