Seeing as I finally got myself my first dslr ,Only the humble 300d, but at £200, a price I can afford ,,I thought I would have a go with this months theme, not too clever with all the functions as I've only had it two days, only thing I've done to it is crop/reduce in PS:

I actually tied a bottle of vegetable oil to a light bulb and took the shot from below, the shutter speed was so fast it hardly caught anything else

Here is my effort for this month and I took it with my IXUS 500 as I hadn't took the 300D out even though I could have made a lot more effort with this one using the other camera.

Don't think Karoline's is a motorway. Can see someone blended into the darkness. Best I could come up with is someone having thrown a glowstick through the air.

Bert, yours got me funny looks from my brother when he walk in on me standing with my head upside down looking at whatever the hell yours is... No idea whatsoever.

Here's my entry. My camera(phone) sucks and I don't know anything about photography but it's fun (and frustrating) so I guess I better start somewhere.
