Default The January Transfer Window Has Closed...

...and was a bit of a disappointment really, much like last year's. Fuck all big names coming or going and 99% of the deals mooted in the press coming to absolutely nothing.

So who did your club sign and who did they miss out on? Are you happy with who's arrived and/or are you a bit pissed off that your team didn't put their hands in their pocket to sign Jock McPricey or Alessandro Expensivo?

Surprised Upson signed for West Ham, Birmingham going up and Hammers going down, doesn't make sense, probably another 1 for the money (Lucas Neil)

I was hoping we would have shipped Mido out and got Teddy back but as always it was speculation, Shame cos he is a legend at the Lane.

Im very shocked at the amount of "good" players that were willing to sign for West Ham as i believe (and hope) that they go down and cant see any of them wanting to play in the Championship

All in all a disappointment but i expected nothing less!!

Not disappointed. The addition of Larsson has helped, especially with Saha's knee injury, and the only real area we needed strengthening in was midfield, and I thought Hargreaves was always very unlikely bearing in mind the midfield situation at Bayern. Its still a risk for us to see through the season hoping neither Carrick or Scholes get a lengthy injury, but I didn't really see anyone that would have done a good job for us at a sensible price.

Not enough was done by Roder to ensure we got the players we needed!!
Again lots of speculation but nothing came from any of it!!

I mean 12 first team injurys and he only gets 1 play on loan.

I suspect Sheppeard was keeping his wallet closed as he doesnt know whats happening with John Halls shares at Newcastle.

I'm happy that Cardiff have loaned Simon Walton from Charlton as he's apparently a promising young player and the mighty Scimeca is injured for a while. We've also signed this dutch striker Iwan Redan from Willem II. He was made available for transfer after he butted a teammate so he should shake things up in the training room. Robbie Keane's cousin Jason Byrne has already scored so he's already helped. Peter Whittingham from Villa for 350,000 queens heads is decent business as well for someone that's so young and has already a fair bit of premiership experience.

We've also signed a few young-uns in Matt Green a 19 year old striker from Newport who's apparently showing a lot of promise and we've loaned Chelsea's James Simmonds who can play all over midfield and in a striking role.

We've also taken this defender lad Balogh on trial from hungary. I'm not sure if we're signing him yet but I'm sure a 10,000 year old giant mythical demon made of fire will bring some much needed strength, experience, conviction and dark sorcery to our back four.

Yup, another spaniard, and a load of youngsters, and an argie who was worth 15million at the start of the season for a year and a half on loan.

Not bad. You can not expect much in Jan as most big clubs prefer to make the big moves in the summer.

The only wish as a Portsmouth fan is that we had brought in a young striker, or a proper attacking winger.

Lauren for £500K from Arsenal was another great buy by Redknapp though.
