Had the snip/vasectomy Sat - OUCH!!

well not as bad as I thought it was gonna be but also not the most pleasant feeling in the world. The first injection (in the scrotum near the base of the penis) was the worst and did hurt tremandously, then afterwards, another injection that felt like it went into my actual testical (albeit at the back) was more weird and uncomfotable than painfull. The other side wasnt too bad at all, I can only assume some of the local anisthetic had started to numb some of it. The tugging on the tubes was also weird and very nausiating.
Was an uncomfortable weekend to say the least as difficult to sit down without squashing something (prolly more from the shaving / ingrowing hairs than stitches ironically !) but now on the mend.

If anyone wants to have it done, its not that bad, just be prepared to feel like you have been kicked in the nuts for a few days as the long dull feeling (that you get a few seconds after you get hit there) just wont go away yet fingers crossed tho

Reading that my legs promtly crossed !!! I must say I cant see me volunteering to get that done, and if I did I sure as hell would not announce it with pics on the net.....Still good on u mate its a lot safer than your ladie having an op

yeah got 3 healthy kids and missus cant have any more safely so best way - she had 3 C sections so thought it was the least I could do.

best thing I ever did, it is a piece of piss really, I didn't even feel like I'd been kicked in the nads, get trussed up after and it is sorted in a couple of days, I was playing footy again after 10 days

I had mine done 4 years ago - best thing i ever did.
I went private at a local surgery - only cost £170.
Doctor was fantastic. Hardly any pain just discomfort.
Was in and out in 30 minutes and was asking the wife for sex the same night and quad biking next day.
I'd heard all sorts of horror stories beforehand about being sat in waiting rooms all day and butchers making it hurt more than it should.

I had mine done Jan 2006.

It was the tugging that was most uncomfortable more so in the right nadger for me!

Weve got 2 kids so no more thanks also as the missus is nearing 40 its time to come off the smarties for health reasons.

I agree with chesser make sure its trussed up tight....the tighter the better, dont let your sack swing about or you'll regret it!

2-3 weeks later you'll forget youve had it done.

I had mine done 18 months ago, and going along with most other people here, the worst bit is when they're tugging on your bits. They're numb and don't hurt but it's just uncomfortable. Oh, and I think the anesthetic was starting to wear off when he was stitching up the second incision.

The absolute worst bit??? The missus coming off the pill before I'd had the all clear, talk about frustrating!!!

Had ine done a year now, my whole sack went jet black, had a bad time with it, i agree the pulling of the tubes was the most uncomfortable, it felt like they were attached to nipples ffs!!!

It great throwing your mad monk everywhere afterwards though, no fear of a stomach swell !!!!!

Thanks for all the support and comments guys nice to get some feedback as yesterday I think they were at their "peak" worst. but hopefully on the mend now. Have to say although the bruising is pretty much pain free it looks well impressive - so going for the sympathy vote with the missus :-)
