You need to either use the 2000 volmeter method or remove and read the atties to get the BK.

Do you not have any other card that you used with the box, doesn't matter how old it is as it might be possible to get the BK from it.

    unfortunately not.

Wouldnt some really nice person have it in their database?

would really, really, really, appreciate any help with this matter as its gonna be costly to get the box re chipped.

    remember its a pace 2000 not a 1000 unfortunately.

I really appreciate any help at all with this.

Have you looked inside the box, some traders write it inside the top lid others write it under the main board so pull it apart and see if you get lucky.

The voltmeter method ain't that bad to be honest, if you are confident about soldering then it shouldn't be a prob.

EDIT: One other thing worth considering is if you got the box from a trader and somebody else you know who also got the box from the trader with a working card, it might be worth trying that card in your box as 2000 boxes tended to be cloned in the good old days so the IRD and BK for a group of boxes would be the same.
