He hasnt done anything in the past and I doubt will ever in the future, Spain are one of the better sides in the world but the performance at the weekend was really bad. Would Big Sam have done a better job? Im not sure but the FA don't like him and he wouldnt have taken any of their shit so they would never give him the job.

He's been involved with the England team for about 7 years in some capacity.
It may seem as if he has not been given a fair crack of the whip by those who vote to sack him now. But, he was the wrong man for the job and should never have been given the Manager's position in the first place. IMHO.

I dont actually care about the English side anymore. Ive never lost any sleep when they have been beaten and i certainly wont in the future.

seems to me fans will never be happy with the england manager cos they never do as well as everyone seems to think they should.. plus if he hasnt won a game 10 mins into his job hes shite?
every one of the managers in the past years have been classed as shite, even wonder-sven... eventually. doesnt that suggest a somewhat bigger problem than the manager? like.. the team?

Yep. There is no doubt that our players are media-inflated, but they should still be able to do a job. Greece won Euro 2004, and they were a nothing side. Germany and are always there or there abouts, and on paper they often look a much poorer team. For me it boils down to the manager. The problem we have in this country is regularly hiring the wrong guy. We hire a man who has had a modicum of success at club level and expect him to be able to do the job at international level. Taylor, Hoddle, Keegan, McLaren - none of them managed to win a league title. And of those 4, McLaren is easily the biggest under-performer.
Sven at least turned us into a side that was hard to beat, but he was lacking in winning mentality, and it was right that he left us after this World Cup. He had a good shot, we gave him plenty of time. McLaren was never the man to replace him, so I'm sorry, but for me he has to go in favour of someone with real international experience.
