I watched this film for only 2 reasons:
I loved the vacation films and I wanted to watch a film in bed that I wouldn't mind missing when I fell asleep

Chevy Chase is what I would describe as washed up nowadays, he had his time in the 80's but I thought well a nice little comedy to fall asleep to.
How wrong I was.
You could see the whole films plot after the first 60 seconds but I carried on watching through the mistaken identity and slapstick that ensued.
Then something happened, I started finding the one liners getting funnier and funnier, the slapstick became hilarious and the situations were so ridiculous that I was almost rolling around with laughter.
There's nothing new about this or high brow and I was wanting to stop myself from laughing but I had no chance.

8.5/10 but don't expect an oscar winner - it is what is appears to be.
