Screencapture problems!

Hi

Im trying to use some screen capture software to record video tutorials for my uni project.

The program i am trying to use is Camtasia 4, and my os is Vista Business. Now i can get the program installed properly, and it records fine, but when i got to play back to movie file the capture has the wrong colours and for some reason is split.

I have tried turning off Aero, turning off hardware accelloration and tried different resolutions, but nothing is working.

If anyone can help it'd be much appreciated!

Looks like scan/refresh rate is set wrong mate!? Is there any settings/options you can look at?

no options in program to change scan/refrest

I have tried another capturing software and got exactly the same problem, so im guessing its either a codec problem or a windows problem.

Iv all ready tried reinstalling all my codecs, and even installed the Vista Codec pack that is doing the rounds, but same problem.

Ok got fraps and installed it, at ends of install got a "Fraps has stopped working" popup, can when that closes i get the "your computer needs to be restarted" message.

Restarted my computer and cant get fraps to load, everytime i try to load it i get a "Fraps has stopped working" popup again.

I have tried to run the installer as admin, run the program as admin, run in compatability mode, but nothing works.

Think ill have to install xp and use that

Ok finally sorted, there is a new beta version of camtasia out (4.0.1) works flawlessly with vista, even with aero installed!!

Me very happy now!!
