Default Spray/Aerosol Paint - advice please

I'm looking for a paint which is permanent and low>non toxic (but quick and easy to apply).

Would I be right in assuming all paints in a can will be oil or vinyl based?

The only spray paint I've used before is bumper spray and that was a long time ago. I remember it giving off fumes, so it probably scores high on the toxic side of things - but it's also probably permanent & hard wearing too.

Does any use any they can recommend, I'm trying to think out of the box here but it seems it's main uses are Automotive, 'Street Art' & Artistic - none of which apply to what I want to use it for.

And while i'm breeching the subject of toxicity, are any paints specifily low in toxicity? or perhaps even Organic/Naturally formed & commercially produced?

WIll get back to my web searching now. thanks in advance,
    I'm new to this

heh well I guess it's not that exciting, sorry.

I've been asked to help with a children's event & they all want custom cloths made for it. I need to find some fabric paint which I could apply with a stencil- as there will be friggin loads to make & I wanted it to be 'easy' to make as many as required.

It seems my best option is to use fabric dye and a stencil, but I might look into pressurising it and spraying the dye on anyway. it's just got to be permanent as the orgnaiser wants them to last longer than one sitting. Ideally, forever...

What about an air brush? just need your paint and it's powered by nothing but air (and alot more accurate than a spray can aswell)
