On paper all 3 English teams should make it through to the quarters, AC Milan vs Bayern is a tough one to call, but I fancy Bayern.


A Liverpool vs Chelsea Semi is a fatanstic prospect going off what happened in 2005. Not going to count my chickens yet though, even though we drew at PSV and beat them 2-0 at Anfield, they're still a threat that needs to be taken seriously.


I don't think I could bear a Man Utd vs LFC final because the thought of losing to those cunts, in the biggest final in Europe, would make me sick to the teeth.


Going back to Tuesday night though, I have to say the atmosphere was truelly amazing. Maybe we don't drum up the same noise for the Prem games against the likes of Sheffield Utd, but when it comes to the big european nights Anfield is a true cauldron. I lost my voice just 10 minutes in to the game! It was a great night, a great match and Liverpool were definately the deserved winners of the round.


No pictures, forgot my sodding camera at home, but the memories still stir my loins and raise the hairs on the back of my neck.

Half of me wants the semi against Liverpool, for the revenge factor. But as cyprus says about Man U, I couldn't bare to be knocked out by you Scouse bassas....again!

i think we all need to win our games first , if PSV can play like they did when we won it 2 years ago they should be a handful, they should have knocked milan out that time but having said that we've just beaten the best team in the tournament imo so we should get through to the semis at least ( and get valencia obviously )

I agree both ways...I cant really imagine how much it would hurt....forever....getting beaten in the Final by either Chelsea or United.....

unsure as to what would hurt more - United beating us in the Final is the obvious one - but getting beaten by Chelsea in their only European win would be a choker.

i'm going to plump for a repeat of the 2005 final but without us giving them a 3 goal start.

It is a very favourable draw for us. I'm pretty confident we can beat any of the 3 teams in our way but we'll have to play better than we did against Lille the other day. I personally don't want an all English final and hope that both Chelsea and Liverpool get knocked out. Would be nice to beat them in the final but it would be unbearable to lose to them as I have friends that support both teams.

I tend to agree with that , the grief for the losers would unbelievable although an all english final isn't something you would see often so in some respects it would be good for the game blah blah blah, but it if it were a liverpool/manu final i would possibly have a heart attack ( win or lose ), just the expression on my dead face would give the result away

Man Utd should scrape past roma and chelsea will have a tough time against valencia.

I am hoping chelsea lose as we wil then face rafa's old team and he should know them perfectly.

No, it would be more like THIS season at OT when Liverpool might as well not have even bothered turning up, we beat you so easily! Seriously though, I have to say it would be highly interesting seeing the tactics Rafa would emply for that match. Though I hate to admit it, the man obviously has the CL figured out, yet his record against United in the League (zero wins) says that he struggles somewhat against Fergie's PL tactical brain - but Fergie's CL record shows he rarely has a clue against top draw foreign sides. Part of me would like to see us get to the final even if it is against Liverpool, as for us it would represent one of our best performances, but 5-2 is bad enough thank you very much!
