    Web browsing
    T.V out quality
    Feel & Form factor
Symbian software seems to run quicker than my N73 or N80
    Wifi browsing great

TOMTOM works using external gps but should be a quick fix for tomtom to integrate bulit in gps
sync speed really good on cable
battery life drains a bit if bluetooth and gps on at same time

    Bad Points
Earpeice think its faulty doh !!!

    Untested Points

How big is it? Do you have any other phones you could compare it to?

there is a video on this machine on the net forget the site....

gps service is free, with free maps too ^____^ but you have to pay a monthly charge for point to point services. (around 6 quid a month)

I thought current versions of Tom Tom don't work with the built-in GPS receiver of the N95. Have you got an external GPS receiver?
Have you tried route planning with the Nokia supplied maps?
How good is the GPS signal in your car - how long does it take to lock on to satellites?

That should do for now! ;-p

    Guys updating your answers now,

tomtom6 working using external gps (thanks Russ for sending latest maps)
so should be easy for tomtom to intergrate the internal gps

Route planning on nokia maps is good very similar uses navteq maps rather than teleatlas.

Gps locks take approx 1-2 mins on internal same time as my holux slimgps 240

Canardo pm me it over more than happy to run it for you

I must say I'm quite disappointed, I put off my upgrade for months waiting for this phone.

I've seen photos taken with the phone and they're crap in comparison to S/E phones and the GPS system mentioned before release it was SIRF3 chipset which must be a load of bollocks as most people can't even get a sat lock whilst in their car.

Anyone know if they can get a lock in the car? or perhaps in your home as you can with external sirf3 chipset GPS devices?

u can get a sat lock while in the house so should be no problems in the car.Sat will take approx 1 min or so to get started, but as long as u dont turn phone off - then when you restart its instant. pictures are very good actually. autofocus is a godsend. flash quality is good aswell compared to my k800i. trust me the pics posted on the net, do not do the phone any justice...see it in the flesh first

Really want one of these but can't afford in anyway to pay the £500 sim free price!
Also it costs a fair bit at the minute on contracts and i'm not due for upgrades til August.

But one thing.....i spoke to someone in a high st mobile phone store and he said that as its the first of its kind with a 5mp camera and gps etc...its slow to respond.
Then he tried to sell me some O2 XDA with Windows on and GPS i think for £40 a month! I was like oh its slow coz you've seen teh prototype and want to sell me a £40 a month contract? hehe!

So is it slow or was he just trying to screw me with a o2 xda? hehe!
