read about about the OSI model, learn a bit about that. Theres nothing wrong with Linux, it's just another operating system with different ways to control it. I'd suggest being very confident in the interview whilst knowing you stuff...but if you don't know about something he asks you try and get him to try and say it differently as I noticed that worked for me.

Hi Tam,
I do know the OSI model (not in-depth) but get he gist of how it works from my Network+ course I did, and various reading etc.
I know there`s nowt wrong with Linux, but its just not somewhere I want to go back to....didn`t enjoy it at all and don`t want to get (another) job I hate!
The job description was actually "Repair and install PC`s in-house and travel to customers premises to repair and perform upgrades" which woul dbe a piece of piss.
He started asking about the network stuff after I mentioned about me previously being a Network Admin, so think it might be a little "extra" for me to swing it - but it deffo wasn`t in the online job description.
Thanks for the input
Alot of the major software vendors are moving into Linux, Novell moved away from Netware and now their network based operating systems ins OES Linux - integrates into your existing NDS structure without a problem and now Microsoft have joined forces with Novell to integrate or make it easier to connect Microsoft systems to OES
End of the day as long as it all standards doesnt matter what operating system you use, you can use Linux as your directory service and have an LDAP into Mirosoft ADS to authenticate users.
Thats a lot of buzzwords, are you looking for a job too ?
