Installation:

Doubleclick PS3.ProxyServer.msi and install it on a PC on the network
where your PS3 is on. Copy ps3-updatelist.txt and config.xml to the
ProxyServer program directory.

The tool is done by CF3B5, we just included it for your convenience.

Start the ProxyServer, fill in your PCs ip address, keep the port setting,
activate PS3 mode and click START. Now switch to the 'replace files'
tab. If you copied the config.xml correctly, you'll see 2 entries:
(config.xml contains european PSStore links, non-euro users have to
fix the links, look at the end of this nfo for details)


1. Updatelist
Users with firmwares below 1.60 have to select the provided updatelist
so they are able to use the PlaystationStore

2. pkg file
Select the super-rub-a-dub.pkg file here

Now start your PS3, fix your internet settings to connect to the Proxy
from above. Enter the store and download the Ridge Racer demo, the proxy
redirects to the pkg file you selected above. After the installation
of the super-rub-a-dub.pkg is done on the PS3, exchange that pkg file
in the proxy program with the super-rub-a-dub-activation.pkg file.
Go to the PSStore with your PS3 and download the Ridge Racer Demo again,
it'll show just a 100kb download. Let it install and

BOOM, Super Rub-a-Dub FULL installed and working.


---Non euro users---

To fix access to the PSStore for non-1.60 PS3s:

Try to connect to the Store with your PS3, will give you an error.
Now switch to the LOGS tab in the Proxy program, find the url
which shows where your PS3 tried to fetch the update list, copy that
url and overwrite the first url (hxxp://feu01.ps3....) in the REPLACE FILES
tab with it. PSStore should work now.


Fix downloading of the supplied pkg files:

Select any demo in PSStore and start downloading it, when download
starts, cancel it. Switch to the LOGS tab in the proxy program,
find the url where your PS3 tried to download a pkg file from.
Copy that and overwrite the url for the pkg file (hxxp://zeus.dl....)
with it. Now instead of using Ridge Racer Demo to fetch the pkg files
from your PC use the Demo you selected here.

I had to change the pkg url thing in the replace files tab (as it's currently set to the German store)... try this url instead for the demo of Ridge Racer:

As for settings on my PS3, I let it find the IP address automatically (as with most of it) and only set my IP address for the proxy as my PC. If you need help finding your IP go to start...run and type 'cmd' and ipconfig/all and Bob's yer uncle.

If all set up correctly you should be able to click on the Ridge Racer demo in the store and it'll download whatever you've got set as the pkg file in the replace files tab in the proxy proggie.

yeah mate I'd make a UK account to be sure. Create a new user account on your PS3, sign-in and then create a new online master account shoving in any UK address, should work fine.

Yep...I've got wireless. I let it set the IP and everything else automatically but set the proxy IP to the IP of my main PC on the network.

That happened to me at first. Make sure you change the default url to the pkg thing as in the proxy proggie it is linking to the Ridge Racer on the German Store, it needs to be set to the UK one (look at the link I've posted above in the code box).
