    Info Beef Wellington

Blend fried mushroms, pate and french mustard in a pan into a stodgy mess.

Seal the outside of a fillet steak and then wrap in pastry with plenty of the pate mix inside.

Glaze pastry with egg then bung in the oven at around 180 till the pastry goes a golden brown colour. Steak should be cooked medium at this point.

Dead easy yet fucking amazing! Your friends will be very impressed!

In fairness I think this is an express/budget version of the dish? Normally truffles are used instead of mushrooms and a chateaubriand instead of the fillet steak too.

I've no doubt it's great, but the dish is named after the Duke Of Wellington. Considering his history with the French I doubt he'd have welcomed the inclusion of French Mustard.............having said that, many of the other ingredients are of french origin so maybe he would.
