play hd-dvd wmv rips on your 360 (more of a question than how)

i was at a friends the other day when he showed me some hd movies from a dvd that run when u go into video then disc

i was wondering how they where done when i seen these today

I've tried a few BDROM rips (I have a HDDVD player and refuse to buy a blugay). that were x264. Converted them to WMVHD and they look lovely on the 360. I assume these are just the same.
