    Default Wireless Routers

I am looking for a cable wireless router for ex *** area. I have around £70
max to spend on a router and 2 wireless USB dongles. I don't want anything
fancy, all I need is basic encryption (so neighbours don't steal bandwidth),
built in firewall and a port for a wired connection. Any recommendations
    gratefully received.

most routers now do WPA2 and WPA encryption

I cant make my mind up whether to get the Linksys WRT54GL or Linksys WRT54GR which is a newer model and I wouldnt think it has the range problem of its predecessor

This is the one im on about
    http://www.dsl-warehouse.co.uk/product.asp?pr=WRT54GR

only a tenner more but a better router I would have thought, I know you cant do the open source thing with it but from what I have read its mainly for boosting the range of the router (and frying you at the same time), I dont think thats a problem with the WRT54GR

I've got 2 linksys routers connecting together with custom firmware on, never had any problems with them. The firmware also has a signal boost built in as well...
