anyone got the product codes for the N72 ?
anyone got the product codes for the N72 ?
Just coz i'm a complete numpty at this.....this won't unlock the phone too will it? whats the best method to do that?
I'm looking to get one off fleabay!?
this will not unlock the phone but it will remove any network branded software on the phone so no annoying network logos on start up etc. In some cases it will even unlock extra features which the network have removed. If the phone is locked your best is to contact the service provider and see if you can buy the code from them (some of the older BB5 phones can be unlocked for free).
If you're going to chance buying a phone from ebay it might be best if you can ask the seller to request the unlock code and you pay the extra for it as sometimes networks can be a bit awkward at giving out the code.
I am having a problem, I have a N80 normal edition locked to Three network. I want to upgrade to the internet edition. I install the latest PC suite, software updater and NSS. What product code do I use in NSS?
My main problem is I cannot get the software updater to even recognise the phone when I use the standard N80 product code. When I plug the N80 into the computer I get a problem as Windows cannot install the hardware 'Ports'. However in my device manager loads of N80 stuff has been installed. The phone can also disconnect and then immediately reconnect :s
Any help much appreciated.

Cheers for that, can anyone help me with my problem? Tried some more things Willp suggested like uninstalling the connectivity driver and pc suite then reinstalling the connectivity driver only but still XP MCE says problem installing hardware: 'ports' :@
Cheers
no idea about your connectivity problem mate but maybe uninstalling all the phone software. Shut down and try a different USB port. I haven't even bothered installing the PC suite software on my computer. Hope ya get it sorted m8
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, deleted all nokia entries from the registry and changing USB port was my next option.
Will let you know how I get on
Right I have upgraded to Vista and now I have additional info on the problem. It says windows found a driver but was uunable to install Nokia N80 USB because the name is already in use as a service name or service display name.
Not sure what to do about this :s Any help much appreciated and I will continue to try!
Also when I use Nokia phone suite it prompts me on the N80 to install MMSsync, on the phone I click ok then it says the certificate is not present so cannot install.
Cheers
Sorted it all! Will post a new thread outlining how I did it in case it helps others!
Cheers for all help, much appreciated!
does anybody know if this would unlock a 9500, the phone is on voda, pay as you go.The phone is a brick, but still! Or if anybody can recommend any firmware upgrades. Bar nokia, have tried on there site but no aparrel. Have even tried voda cs but they lso cant help.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Flashing doesnt unlock them m8. And if there are no updates on the Nokia server then it is unlikely there is one anywhere else.
Also the 9500 is a DCT 4 handset and not a BB5 handset.
Does anyone have the product code for: N95 Orange
I changed mine to generic European as per Rap's instructions but I forgot to note down my previous product number. The reason I ask is because the GPS is being tempremental so I'm thinking of returning the phone to a Nokia centre for a replacement.

Hi m8, this is the only product code I can find for Orange - 0548170.
But please dont blame me if it is not correct, lol.
im gonna try this for my mate's n73 she has to wait 5mins for her phone to free up after sending a text... it just completely freezes (on orange)
so has anyone actually managed to unbrand a n95 on orange yet???
so the new firmware shows up in the nokia updater? cos earlier posts say theres none there? thanks for yer help!
