Any Car Alarm Experts On heres? Need alarm Wireing help on mk5 escort

it says on alarm i have to connect

white ( + ) wire to Acc of ignition barrel.

green/ white wire to "on" on ignition barrel.

green to "start" on ignition barrel.

i have drawn a diagram of my ignition barrel wires as im not sure which wires are acc/on/start on my ignition?

anyone please help


i have attched both diagrams for both alarm and also my ignition barrel color wires below






when i connected alarm it never worked.



when testing which ignition wires i used a dmm i was taking earth not from ignition but from a earth under dash and useing red possative probe over each igntion wires i must of got it wrong as when i connected alrm and battery the ignition was on dim without key in ignition , wrong ignition connections? all wires fused no fuses gone.

Really easy actually. Use your multimeter and measure the connections on your ignition as follows:

Acc will be the contact which has power when your key is turned to the Acc position

"on" will be the contact which has power while your car is running

"start" will be the contact which has power when your key is turned to the start position

The 3 contacts "should" measure ground when the key is turned to the off position.

The Black wire is most likely ground, but measure with your multimeter to be sure.

white to yellow
green to black/blue
green/white to black

these are the wires you need to connect.
