Sending 360 to MS, how long is the process??

Hi

Just wanting to know how long the process is from me ringing up MS to send faulty 360 back, to me getting a refurm back from MS??

Im only going to be at my current address for another 3 weeks, but need to get this sorted out asap as i dont want to take 2 360's home with me

also whats a suitable price to sell the faulty one for (for someone else to send to MS?) its still got 6 months warranty on it

i called ms on monday total time 20mins on phone-ups picked faulty 7th xbox360 in 15 months---should have new 1 by tuesday--but on sending my 4th 360 back it took 6 weeks,overall though within 2 weeks had it sorted.as for selling it ---ebay it i reckon

Why didn't you take it back to the shop? I'm on my 3rd console now and everytime its gone tits up, I just walk into town and swap it over the counter.

I was under the impression the "contract" for returning items within the 1st year was with the retailer and not the manufacturer.

It wasn't until I asked if he tested it that I realised I could of got a whole refund. He said they only test the machine if the customer is asking for a refund. I got a few months warranty left, what's the best way to "break" it myself......?

Got mine from HMV, may have to give their CS a call

GAME, I always call first and explain, then get a name of who I spoke to. Trouble is you don't get a new warranty. That's why I'm hoping mine might go up the swanny just before the warranty is up.

total turn around time for mine took about 10 days from collection mate!
