Dreambox 500c and low sound

Had my 500c for a few weeks and was wondering if there is anything I can do to boost the sound up a bit, I have to turn the telly up really hight to gat a decent volume, im using digworlds1.62, thats if the image has anything to do with it. Also connecting sound through composite leads.

so you got the tv sound on max, and the dreambox sound on max and still not high enough?

yes dreambox volume max, I have a freeview box connected to the tely aswell and thats a lot louder for channels as are the anologue channels

Does the dreambox or tv have (SAP) Secondary Audio Programming turned ON? or sounds like the Audio: Range is out of adjustment, try looking for these in the dreambox or tv menu!

Dreambox doesnt have that neither does my telly. Dreambox is nice but it definately has its faults like low sound and shit tuner.

Hmm, sorry mate all I can think of is a bad scart connection, Im sure you have tried that! sometimes if the scart is routed through say a vcr and the lead is shit this can happen.

theres a digital optcal connection on the back of the 500c, ill try that and see

Hi m8, I have the Dreambox 500c and dont have this problem. I am using the same imga that you have installed. My Dreambox volume is usually set to half to 3/4 volume and the TV isnt even 1/4 of the way up and it is very loud.

I do have the Dreambox plugged straight in to the TV and not going through any other devices.

The only thing that I have noticed about the Dreambox is that the picture isnt quite as good as my Dreambox 7000s sat receiver on Sly, or a cable receiver.

Thanks Termy clearing that up, it seems then that mines not a very good clone, it doesnt go through other devices, just straight into the telly
