    Default Tandoori Chicken

    Tandoori Chicken<o></o>
4-6 legs or breast (skin off) or as many piece as you want
    200g natural bio pot yoghurt
    2 tbs tandoori masala paste
    2 tbs oil
    ½ tsp salt
    2 tbs vinegar
    1 tbs lime juice

Wash the chicken and scar the skin make deep diagonal gashes into the flesh if using breast. Mix yoghurt, tandoori paste, salt, vinegar, lime juice and oil. Marinate chicken pieces for a good 4hrs if possible tho can be done without. I putthe limes in the marinate aswell but is all to taste.
Spread the chicken evenly. Place the chicken pieces on a shallow foiled tray and cook for 15-20 mins in oven. Turn over pieces and cook for a further 20. To get burnt spots which taste really good place the try under the grill for a few minutes.
    <o> </o>
Serve on a bed of lettuce and garnish with lemon.

masala paste is currently on special offer in a well known super market that wants you to slap your bottom

Actually, I blatantly rip all my currys off curryfrenzy.com (as posted in the curry thread). You`ll find they have all the recipes you need including variations on the ones Trixerbell has posted.

I`m sure Karoline can confirm to you that I havent pestered her for a long time (I forgot to PM back, sorry Kaz)...but I`ve been laying a bit low due to disasters at work

Init matey. You see, now you are a VIP you dont get quite as much abuse from us existing VIP`s...I was going to randomly curse you for scaring Karoline away from me for good, but I will now restrain myself.

I`m off to toast some cheese.

The last tikka I cooked marinaded for about 2 dyas. I tried some at regular intervals but the longer it was left the better it tasted.

leav out the salt their is plenty in the "tandoori masala paste"
Tip put it all in a plastic bag and turn evry half hour the Marinate gets in to the chicken better.
