Problem with Exchange and roaming profiles

I have inhereted a 2003 server with exchange.

Most of the systems are fine but one user can't get her email if she swaps desk, everything else is available but her email.

3 other users that I have created also cant hot desk their profiles are on the server and when they do swap desk they get a different desktop to that one that they normally sit at. this desktop follows them which is very strange but their email doesnt.

I am visiting the site tomorrow so hopfully I will have a few things from you to try? please

could be a number of things quick solution for a work round is hit the web exchange http://ipofserver and log in that way i think the problem is with the roaming profile or perminsions on the other machines like not being able to create a local pst just check if they have rights on the user profile.
will dig a bit deeper in the morming as im sure i got a work around for this

when you say mail doesnt work,
what exactly isnt working.

is the outlook exchange profile still kept and correct when she moves desk ?
are the pcs tcp/ip settings ok, ie. dns especially
or is it just her pst file is kept on the old pc and therefore not available on the new pc ?


if the users are getting different desktops, how different from the normal profile ?
are their own icons etc missing or are there just extra ones possibly from the all users desktop
are they logging off the old PCs and therefore updating the roaming profile ?
do they get errors about profiles and are their roaming profiles ok on the servers share ?

with incorrect desktops and possibly missing outlook profile settings, it sounds like the roaming profiles arent being updated when they log off and therefore will only be available on their 'usual' pc
