Do you tip the barber?

Is this the norm these days?

Barber I always went to when I was a kid had a little tip pot, which people usually put a quid or two in. More recently though in barbers, I just see people paying the regular price, barbers happy, and that's that?

Just been to my local, and felt like a bit of a cheap cnut by taking my change

if they cant afford to live on the prices they charge they should charge more then. i wouldnt feel like a cheap cunt.

when am in a taxi i will give the driver mibbe 20 p tip if its say 5.80...another thing is that i wont give any tip if io dislike them in any way

as before, if you can't survive on what you're charging you shouldn't be doing the job...simple as really.

I always tip my barber. i've been going to him for about 17 years and he's a good bloke. He's only 1 year older than me and has the same kind of interests so we always have a good chat while he's cutting. i don't tip anyone else.

No, never knew people tipped barbers to be honest. I pay £6.50 for my haircut which takes about 10-15 minutes. Not a bad rate for them and they're always busy, two or three working more or less constantly.

i normally tell them to round up to the nearest £, normally £7.20 so pay £8.00.

dont know why though, dont tip anyone else, unless out for a meal and service is good, which doesnt happen very often.

My son always tips them but he's got one of those gay/ned hairstyles, i just shave my hair off have done for the last ten/fifteen years makes me look fuckin hard i tell you.

My wife and my daughters "stylist" gives them wine and a manicure (as an extra)while waiting costs a fooking fortune, plus tip.

I always feel compelled to tip a taxi driver though for some reason....even when I'm claiming back the fare from work, and the tip will come out of my own pocket :/ Must stop doing that

I do, got a haircut the day before yesterday. Costs €28, paid €30, but she is worth it

I always tip, usually £2 for a hair cut.
I'm a bit of a big tipper for some strange reason (waiters, barbers, BT installation men, plumbers etc..).. perhaps its a deep rooted psycological desire to be liked

My haircuts 8 quid at my local hairdressers, pay with a tenner and let them keep the change as a tip, plus shes fit.
