This section is usually about commenting on layout, styling, content (not user posted).

oh, and your forum has no actual, you know... reason for existence. most forums have a reason to be there, a group in mind who would like to discuss the topics present. you have nothing bar music, films and tv... and if thats your chosen subject areas, why in fucks name would anyone go to your site over anyone elses?

erm.. yes, difference being this one has an ORIGINAL skin. one that was commissioned and designed specifically for df, thus it has something unique worth critiquing... yours does not.

well as Trix stated the site has only been open 4 days and we have alot more than tv and music

but if thats how you feel thats fine, I like it and I love the colour. I have had no complaints from all 16 members (in 4 days)

When the group has been open longer then we look at original skins which are already in the making

Not sure on the colour scheme either. Very girly but hey, if that's your audience fair play.

Have to agree, not a lot of content and as this sub forum is about site critique marcode is pretty much on the nail.

If you want people other than your mates to join up then you need to offer something different or special. And then if you want them to stay (which is even more important) then you have to have a critical mass of posters that will post new content on a very regular basis. this is why DF is always so busy, lots of people interested in a number of common themes but who also come from a diverse set of backgrounds. this creates plenty of topics in all sorts of diverse areas that people can comment on. It's the community thing that is also vital for a forum.

I guess what I'm saying is, like marcode is that you need a theme to attract people in, but fresh content regularly to make them come back. Try to get a theme for your forum.

Good luck with it though. I hope it works. Post back when you've done more.
