Well the city centre is pretty good, wandering around the arndale. But i think a place that you have to visit is the trafford centre. The second biggest shopping centre in europe after bluewater in kent. Plenty of shops, cinemas, amazing food court in the form of a ship..really worth a visit..then there us of course old trafford...the theatre of dreams. You can go have a stadium and museum tour if you're a footy fan

China town aint all that either im afraid its nothing special, you can go checkout the new tallest building thingy the Hilton Hotel. Then there is the museum of Science and Industry (An absolute must!) Theres a Doctor Who Exhibition on right now too if your into that?
Piccadilly Square, St Peters Square both nice and have a lot of Shops about them,
Manchester Art Gallery on Mosely street, The Lowry if your willing to take a bus ride down to the Salford Docks, theres also a Heritage Centre there which I find very interesting.
Manchester Catherdal, Town Hall, Central Library, Imperial War Museum, The Triangle Shopping Centre, Museum Of Transport The Shambles nice pub. Royal Exchange Theatre Urbis Gallery, Take your pic really theres loads to see and do.
    Cheers

get yourself down to the northern quater. Its at the back of the arndale (Shudehill). In the day there is loads of old alleys, graffiti and great opportunity for some nice photography. By night it has some really nice funky bars. You also have the locks at the end of deansgate where there are loads of bars and a chance to meet some celebs, its a bit pretentious up that way though although there is loads of totty. The Hilton is definately a site to see as said by lighty, the building has a huge overhang which just looks weird. You can go up the tower and have a beer but be prepared for big prices. You also have the Urbis and the print works to have a butchers at.

Shame its tommorow cos im busy all day, i could of met up with ya and showed you around.

I always make a point of going to the Oyster Bar... not only very intresting history but the best and cheapest pint of sam smiths you'll EVER drink.... was buit in 1720 and has survived all sorts... hence the name, along with the restraunt next to it, The Great Survivors. In the 70's when they were re-devoloping the area it was actually raised 15ft up and then in the 90's after the IRA bomb some people wanted to knock it down but in the end they moved it brick by brick and peice by peice 300m and rebuilt it.

have a look here for the full story

Curry mile only looks half interesting at night, lol.

I guess there's the "postbox" at ground zero of the IRA bomb - provides a moments interest reading the plaque on it.
