    Default Pet Insurance

Ok, i am looking to buy some insurance for my dog. At the moment he is being treated for some kind of illness.
Is there an insurance that will cover things like this in the future, or will they not allow me to claim
Say for example, that i join, and i have only paid for a few months, and then the dog needs something from the vet, will this be covered, or do i have to be joined for a while?

The wording normally indicates that they will not cover pre-exsisting conditions. so I'm afraid you may be out of luck

    What car does he drive??

I think that most places won't cover against pre-determined conditions but if I remember rightly there is a pet insurer who will cover if there are pre-determined conditions. If I can remember the name I'll stick it on here

EDIT: This is the one. If the pre-existing condition is "benign" (for want of a better word) for a year then any claim against it will still be valid. Also indicates that they might well agree to a pre-existing condition as it says that its not covered unless agreed by us so guess it will all depend on the severity etc of the condition. Not sure of how much help it is but at least its something.

    "Pre-existing Condition
Conditions which existed prior to the inception of the policy are not covered under this policy unless otherwise stated by us. However, if the pet is free of symptoms, treatment, medication, tests or advice for the condition for a period of one continuous year after the inception date of cover the condition would be eligible for cover. I think most insurers won't cover pre-existing conditions, but you might find some decent insurers from this thread:
