Default A few others from the land theme..

Took all these one afternoon just across the road from my house. Am lucky enough to live oposite one of the last remaining examples of medieval strip farming, otherwise known as the "Great Field"

    Some more cow shots.

    Spoiler:

A few different takes on the theme of the land. Taken with kind permission of the local farmer who owns the land and didn't shot me with his 12 bore for trespassing in his crops...!!!

    Spoiler:

How tempted was i to make a T&S image fromt his one !!

Personally don't like this one but included it anyways..

Very little PS work done to these images other than a slight amount of image clean up as I have some dust on the lens.

    Hope you enjoy.

Cheers mate, I tend to use filters on the camera rather than try to recreate them in PS, IMHO it never really looks the same.
This was my first time shooting cows (with a camera) and i was very surprised how friendly and inquisitive they were. Was expecting them to bolts as soon as the shutter went but they just kept following me around. But they did stink though.

The land is used for a variety of farming activites, from crops and animals to veg growing, it's great most of the time except for a few weeks in Septenber when the wind blows wrong and our house is full of the fragrant aromas of rotting cabbages.. Um.. Nice...

I like the composition of the third but think i may go back and tweak the contrast of the original raw file to see if I can make it a little better.

Some crackin' shots there wingnut, I'd have been tempted to use that last but one shot instead of the cow for the compo myself seems an ideal choice for a "land" compo.

The cow in that 3rd one looks menacing, like he's about to jump over that stream and nut you one
