    Default JML Super Slicer

    Anyone got one of these?

If you don't have one then don't get one, they're totally shit.

I used one for the first time today, annoyingly they don't come with a stand so you either have to hold it up the whole time you're using it, which is awkward espcially as it doesn't even have a proper grip or try and balance it on a bowl, which it doesn't do at all well.

It won't hold things that are too big or too small so you're limited to pretty much onions or tomatoes, I managed to do a bell pepper with it but I had to chop it up first so it would fit.

The onion I tried it wouldn't chop properly, the onion slid about so loads ended up not getting cut, the bell pepper just turned into mush when i should have been slices.

Also, the blades are f**king dangerous and make it impossible to clean without putting it in a dishwasher (Which you're not meant to do)

Yeh...we bought one for about £5 in Asda a while back.

Am disappointed for similar reasons to Mule, however it`ll come in handy for salads I`m sure...I`m not a fan of thick sliced salad so I use this to wafer my tomatos and onion...otherwise its a waste.

I had one about 2 years ago, at the time I loved it. Although it is impossible to clean without loosing a few digits!
Now I use my Global knifes :-)

Do JML actually make anything decent?
If nature always takes the easiest route, what's easier...?
The creation of billions of galaxies each containing trillions of stars each with their own solar systems, some with planets that have evolved civilisations with billions of different life forms. OR The creation of just your imagination?

I have one similar to that and I only use it for tomatoes, onions, and lettuce... luckily I eat all those every day... it does save time when I make my lunches each day... nearly lost several finger tips though from not using the guard, they are dangerously sharp!

I saw a guy demo one of these at a Sunday market years ago, he made it look fooking fantastic.

    We have one of these
    http://www.jmldirect.com/Pro-Chef-Quattro-PP4675/
which is not too bad, it does what the slicer does but the slicey bit attaches to a jug thing to hold it securely in place and catch all the sliced bits.
It also does a reasonable job of finely chopping or mushing with its spinning blade.
