Photo Competition - August

This month's competition theme is "Movement/Motion", as chosen by _Belial.

Closing date will be the 23rd.

Please read the rules below before posting your entry.

Rules:

• Must be your own work.

• Only 1 entry each.

• Entries can be changed once during the competition if you feel you've taken a better shot, but please make a separate post with the new entry and edit out your old image from your previous post, to keep things in the correct chronological order.

• Max file size 800x600 250KB. (There's info on optimising your image size in the sticky of the same name)

• Pictures to be embedded into your post in this thread rather than attached. (Use a free image host that allows hot linking such as imageshack or photobucket and encase the direct link in [IMG][/IMG] tags. There's a quick guide on how to do it here)

• Entries should to be taken for the competition rather than entering a previously shot image.

• Photoshop (or other imaging software) use is allowed, to enhance your image, but please remember this competition is about producing the best photo not the best piece of artwork.

Just add some effects in photoshop to change the image so it looks like its moving. (only joking )

Jokes aside, I think I might have a dabble this month, with my cheeky Canon Ixus 800is which I got half price from Sainsburys.

I have an idea for the topic, hope the camera can pull it off, if not can I borrow my Dads Sony A100?

You don't have to move no, but most people (of course, it's all down to your interpretation) will have the thing in front of the camera moving

Well I had originally planned for a nice long exposure shot with lights moving, but I thought that may have been predictable.

I was inspired this morning when I went out back for a smoke and saw this. I thought it was something that looks nice and goes with the theme. Hopefully its not too boring for anyone as it does lack the content I had originally planned for another shot. No photoshopping apart from resizing, no filters and all natural colour, not tweaked at all!

I will let people hazzard a guess to what it is, not that hard

Lol ignore my comment mate, great shot and crystal clear, I really like it and the lighting is perfect. Superb for a first try
