If its been previously registered with them and you dont know the original owners details they wont deal with you at all, It has happened to me so bear that in mind mate.

I just got hold of one and had no idea who had it before me. Called ms and ranted on that it was a gift from work and had no idea who had it before...they were quite happy to change it into my name

TBH, ALL 360s are less than 3 years old, so it doesnt matter who its registered to (mine aint resgistered at all AFAIK), so its covered by warranty, thats all they really care about! So ANY 360 with 3RL should get fixed by them, regardless of who owned it before you!
